You've already met my new guitar Dusk, that was my earliest Christmas gift. Just wanted to share with you the highlights of Christmas :D
First is my new phone! Samsung touchscreen chorva :)) I dunno the model e. Basta it's really cool :D
Next is this exercise thingy. You know the small one like this that does your hands? This is a big one. Hehehe. Works pretty well.
Article 78 i think is a very important one :>
Finally, I got myself a new wallet. :) Just because my old wallet wasn't doing me very much good. So Yeah, went to galle with maow today and got it :)
Yeah that's a pic of me and June inside :P Don't have much to select from cuz i recently had to take out all the pics of me and you know who ;)

Band Hero Moments
Tonight I was playing Band Hero with my bros. We finally charged all the batteries so we could play together :) Super fun bonding moments with all four of us. :) Anyway, I was the singer because everyone else wanted to play instruments.
We stared off with songs like "She will be loved" one of my favorites :D But then we reached "So Yesterday" by Hilary Duff. Yes, I sang it :)). But i noticed something. The lyrics made sense for once. And I realized the title "So yesterday" meant like "you're so yesterday" :P

You can change your life - if you wanna
You can change your clothes - if you wanna
If you change your mind
Well, that's the way it goes
But I'm gonna keep your jeans
And your old black hat - cause I wanna
They look good on me
You're never gonna get them back
At least not today, not today, not today
'cause
[Chorus:]
If it's over, let it go and
Come tomorrow it will seem
So yesterday, so yesterday
I'm just a bird that's already flown away
Laugh it off let it go and
When you wake up it will seem
So yesterday, so yesterday
Haven't you heard that I'm gonna be okay
You can say you're bored - if you wanna
You can act real tough - if you wanna
You can say you're torn
But I've heard enough
Thank you... you made my mind up for me
When you started to ignore me
Do you see a single tear
It isn't gonna happen here
At least not today, not today, not today
'cause
[Chorus]
If you're over me, I'm already over you
If it's all been done, what is left to do
How can you hang up if the line is dead
If you wanna walk, I'm a step ahead
If you're moving on, I'm already gone
If the light is off then it isn't on
At least not today, not today, not today
'cause
[Chorus 2X]
Hay Nakoooowzzz...Im still bitter pala :P

So i feel like i was just getting warmed up with the Dec 20 drawings. I made these 2 last night before sleeping. I think the poses are getting better :D The angle on Supergirl's legs is kinda weird tho, but im still pretty happy with it. Spider-man is really good. Been drawing him since i was 5 years old so it's no biggie :P hehehe

Day 1: Drawing
So today i decided that instead of trying to do everything i want everyday, ill dedicate one day to one activity so tat i can make the most of it. Today is Monday and that's drawing day. I'll upload what i drew later when the day is done, but im hoping i get at least 1 or 2 good artworks made.
Christmas break has been good so far. Lots of time for me. as in me time. I get to do my devos with two versions of the bible now (NIV and NLT) and I love it. I just need a NASB then ill be complete :D
I sometimes still get sad tho...thinking of her...but that's why im doing productive things to keep me busy. At least maybe some good will come out of this situation right? I may end up becoming a better artist, writer, guitarist, gamer, and whatever else i decide to focus my time on.
So drawing is today. I dug up my old drawing book which is already browning on the edges and i drew a picture of Ryu. It suck :)) I need to remember how to draw awesome again and not just the usual notebook doodles i do in class. hehehe.
Maybe i ought to look up my art inspirations again. Kubert and Lee are the only two that come to mind right now. And no...the picture up there from Andy Kubert to Matt is not for me :P Cool tho. :))
So MERRY Christmas to you all. Keep checking back here for updates. :)

Hello Christmas!
Today was the first day of my Christmas break. Most people in school have exams till saturday, but the ICPRs are done already xD
I met June earlier in the day and we looked for a gift for Gina. Really short lang. Then went to school and me the others. We went to galle for a "quick" lunch that turned into shopping time! :P Grabe i love the FF talaga. When im with them its like....awesomeness :)) i don't know how to describe it talaga.
Then we went back to school and i met with Joycee. We went back to galle and did shopping for exchange gifts :)) We looked at all sorts of things. As in all sorts! hahaha.
While we were looking around i started finding things i want to buy for myself (im so unselfish huh?) :)) I found some books in Best Sellers that sounded interesting. About a girl who's husband cheated on her. :)) Weird huh? Matt and books don't usually go together. Then i found an NLT Bible that i want. I might buy it tomorrow. Im thinking cuz our church is doing The Bible In One Year next year, id be nice to have an NLT.
hmmmmmmmmm...Im feeling Christmas already. :) I'm feeling ...content, which is awesome for once. Like my life is my life. Im just living for God. No more plans for the future, but just whatever God has in store for me.
I got home, played guitar, played some games Ian E lent me, cooked dinner, wrapped gifts...it is good. life is good. :)
And i got to see nix yesterday. short lang. But i super miss her. Was like old times again :)
I heard something...oh noes!!! hahaha
BITIN!

Water and Bridges
There's things I know I should have mentioned sooner
But I didn't know how
I'm sorry I lost you
I never thought that this could come between us
I know its water and bridges now
But what's the sense in carrying around
This weight, these words are tearing me apart
And that's enough for the back to break
That's enough for a mouth to take
But I've been paying for it since I drove my girl away
And that's the sign of a solemn man
I'll make the best of the best I can
And I'll be better for it if I ever get my chance
That face, I know exactly what you're thinking
But I'm certain this time is different
And that's why I can't pretend that everything is mended
I know I've tried to for too long now
But what's the sense in carrying around
This weight, these words are tearing me apart
And that's enough for the back to break
That's enough for a mouth to take
But I've been paying for it since I drove my girl away
And that's the sign of a solemn man
I'll make the best of the best I can
And I'll be better for it if I ever get my chance
Oh save me from a grey life
Oh save me from a grey life
I paid the price with my soul
Oh save me
And that's enough for the back to break
That's enough for a mouth to take
But I've been paying for it since I drove my girl away
And that's the sign of a solemn man
I'll make the best of the best I can
And I'll be better for it if I ever get my chance
If I ever get my chance
If I ever get my chance
If I ever get my chance

Cuz this song reminds me of that feeling
The signal is subtle
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
So I won't sleep if you won't sleep tonight
Our act of defiance
We keep this secret in our blood
No paper or letters
We pass just close enough to touch
We love in secret names
We hide within our veins
The things that keep us bound to one another
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we must do
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
Until the last resilient hope
Is frozen deep inside my bones
And this broken fate has claimed me
And my memories for its own
Your name is pounding through my veins
Can't you hear how it is sung?
And I can taste you in my mouth
Before the words escape my lungs
And I'll whisper only once...
There is a secret that we keep
I won't sleep if you won't sleep
Because tonight may be the last chance we'll be given
We are compelled to do what we have to
We are compelled to do what we have been forbidden
'Cause you will be somebody's girl
And you will keep each other warm
But tonight I am feeling cold
We pass just close enough to touch
No questions, no answers
We know by now to say enough
With only simple words
With only subtle turns
The things we feel alone for one another
There is a secret that we keep

Meet Dusk
My dad got me this for Christmas. He has no idea how much it means to me. :)
His name is Dusk. The other acoustic guitar is named Summer. Maow and I mashed up Remember to Breathe with Stolen as our first acoustic jamming session. :)
I've always wanted an acoustic that could line in. Can't wait to use this for leading worship xD
This guitar means so much to me not only cuz its awesome, but cuz its from my dad. Love you Papa!

Q&A: Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba
Q&A: Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba
SPIN Interview
A few years ago, Chris Carrabba walked into a packed club near his Boca Raton, Florida, hometown to play a solo show, with no game plan or setlist in mind. Since releasing Dashboard Confessional's 2003 breakthrough A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar, Carrabba had grown used to touring with a full backing band in much bigger venues — a stark contrast to the stripped-back, intimate acoustic shows that originally put him on the map as one of indie's hottest new songwriters.
"It was very hot, very overcrowded, way too many people for the fire code," Carrabba tells SPIN of that particular hometown gig. "It really reminded me of the different energy you draw upon yourself when you play alone. It's great — and it's terrifying."
Carrabba is going back to those roots when he hits the road for a 17-date solo tour (starting Nov. 27 in Ft. Lauderdale), which will find the 35-year-old songwriter celebrating the tenth anniversary of his debut albumThe Swiss Army Romance by performing it in its entirety. (He'll also be playing a second set of covers and fan favorites.) The venues will be intimate, including the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Boston's Paradise, and Chicago's Bottom Lounge.
SPIN caught up with Carrabba to discuss revisiting these old songs, how Townes Van Zandt and Bruce Springsteen impacted him as a young songwriter, and why he likes to listen to Katy Perry.
What have you done to prepare for your tour?
I've played the songs a couple of times in the order that they appear on the record. Well, I've nearly done that. I've left a couple out on purpose. I like the spontaneity. It's ten years of playing these songs and I want them to be as fresh as possible.

In terms of getting ready for the tour, I packed yesterday.
Do you have any sort of lucky charm, like a rabbit's foot? What are you bringing with you?
A pack of t-shirts. I'm a notoriously light packer. I debated over whether to take one or two pairs of jeans. I'm going with one. I may decide to bring another [laughs].
I could get in trouble with some animal rights activists if I took a rabbit's foot. You know, touring is the dominant part of my life. I feel more comfortable doing it than anything else. So, going back on the road is a chance for me to feel normal again.
What was your initial reaction going back and listening to Swiss Army Romance?
I haven't yet! I keep putting if off. I know I probably sound young. I was young. I was inexperienced when I made that record. I wasn't quite sure how to sing without screaming. If I listen to it on the wrong day — embarrassment is a bad word, but there's an acknowledgement of my youthful inexperience. There's a different guy singing on those records. I haven't visited with him again quite yet.

Can you still hit those crazy high notes at the end of "Turpentine Chaser"?
I think I can hit them with more accuracy — I've learned how to sing since then. It's funny you mention that song. There's this beautiful gracelessness that happens at that moment. It's completely unrestrained, because if I had been restrained I wouldn't have hit that note. Maybe I've become a stronger singer, but I have to find a way to punctuate those moments with the same heartfelt spirit.

Your friend Jolie Lindholm provided backing vocals on your first two albums. Have you asked her to join you for some of these upcoming shows?
No, but maybe I'll give her a holler. That's not a bad idea. I was approaching this in terms of how I used to tour — I used to tour without Jolie. But now that you mention it, it seems so obvious. That's a great idea.

Who was the first person you played Swiss Army for?
Amy Fleisher, who ran Fiddler Records [and released the album in 2000]. I remember playing it for her in my Ford pickup truck. The second person I remember playing it for was [Dashboard bassist] Dan Bonebrake. We were driving down a highway and just as the last note rung out, we got rear-ended by a drunk driver. We ended up chasing him down for several miles.

Wow.
Yeah, it's par for the course in South Florida.

Your fans are notoriously devoted, erupting into deafening sing-alongs at your shows. What music strikes you in a similar way?
Well, there are songwriters who have been important for milestone moments in my life. I don't know a better way to say that. Songwriters who have a strong connection to my life experience. There are many Bruce Springsteen songs I feel illustrate my experiences.

Which songs or albums in particular?
Nebraska, but that might be because it's the one where he played into a tape recorder with an acoustic guitar. That record is a canvas that touches on every color of life. Another songwriter who I have a very personal connection to is Townes Van Zandt, but that's not a secret. "If I Needed You" is my favorite song of his, and has been for many years.

Who introduced you to Townes?
The first time I heard him was in my friend's dad's Dodge pickup and I remember thinking it was so hokey. But he's a pretty underappreciated guitar player in that style of Travis picking. And I was a guitar player who knew nothing — not even how to hold a pick. I remember when my friend's dad said that it was one guy playing, and it just blew my mind.

What about Top 40 pop music — any artists you throw on for mindless fun?
Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson. I think they're the best singers in the pop world. There's a lot of soul and such richness in those voices and their music is an easy route to escapism.

Have you started working on a new Dashboard record?
I'm always writing songs, but I don't think I've written the first song that seems like a new enough of a direction. With the last album, that happened with "Get Me Right." It turned the course. At that point, I had about 30 songs and I thought I'd written the record two times before I realized it was just the beginning. I haven't found that one song for the new album yet.
